The Officer Cadre
Chief
Chief Riley Shepherd has been with Oak Grove Fire Department since 2017 and was promoted to Assistant Chief in August 2021. Before joining OGFD, he spent four years with Wagoner County Emergency Management. Chief Shepherd met his lovely wife, Ariel, while at OGFD, and they married in November 2021.
Growing up around the firehouse at the Yukon Fire Department, where his grandfather worked, becoming a firefighter has always been a dream of his. He is a former President of the Mid America FOOLS Tulsa Metro and is still currently serving on their board.
Assistant Chief
Assistant Chief Robert Green has been a core member of Oak Grove Fire since 2012. In addition to his selfless service to the Oak Grove community, Chief Green served our country for four years in the Marines and has been a mentor to every firefighter in the department.
Captain
Captain Steven Jones has been with Oak Grove Fire since 2008. Originally from Michigan, Captain Jones began his fire service career early with a volunteer department near his hometown, driven by a true passion for the fire service. In addition to his role here, he serves as a Relief Driver at the Tulsa Fire Department and holds the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard.
